Job Summary: The Test Equipment Maintenance and Repair Department (TEMR) has a need for a Metrology Electrical Engineer to perform and support all Calibration functions in the TEMR Metrology Lab. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining measurement integrity and traceability to defined Standards for in-house Reference, Lab and Plant Working Standards. Candidate will work with minimal supervision in the Test Equipment Maintenance and Repair Metrology Lab. The Sr. Electrical Engineer is a salaried position responsible for the Control and Calibration of in excess of 1,000 Electrical, Mechanical and Temperature Calibration Standards used at a regional Calibration Lab operating to the requirements of ANSI/NCSL Z540.1-1994. This laboratory supports multiple Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) Northeast facilities in New England and the Southeast. The successful candidate will primarily perform hands-on Calibration work. The individual will also be responsible for following all Safety, Quality and Security Policies. We value diverse skills and experience, so don't hold back. Responsibilities to Anticipate: Tasks may include the following: Hands on Calibration of Electrical, Mechanical and Temperature Standards.

Maintenance of an Approved Vendor List for qualified outside Calibration sources.

Audit of outside Calibration sources

Developing new and Innovate Calibration methodologies and techniques for both new and existing items.

Act as the technical specialist in Calibration with regards to the interpretation of technical and specification requirements.

Act as Metrology contact for incoming Audit activities.

Provide productivity reports to Calibration Labs Section Manager.

Responsible for scheduling workload in a dynamic environment.

Participate in departmental Capital Acquisition planning and defining long term needs of the Metrology Lab.

Meeting cost targets for contractual services.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)

5 years related experience with electrical calibration, test engineering, test design or electrical/electronic test equipment.

Must be able to lift 40lbs with no restrictions

The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

Knowledge of Calibration Standards.

Familiarity with R.F. techniques.

Experience with Fluke METCAL system, Agilent TME, basic language programming or similar Automated Calibration Systems.

2 years’ hands-on experience with ANSI/NCSL Z540.1-1994, ISO9001 and/or ISO17025.

Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing is a plus.

Knowledge of AC/DC, Temperature, Microwave frequency and power and high voltage measurements.

Knowledge of Flow, Conductivity and Mechanical measurement parameters.

Procedure writing supporting Production Floor Calibration issues.

Computer knowledge with regards to Microsoft Office applications.

Prompt response and support to all customer needs in a demanding work environment.

Master’s Degree is a plus.
