System Administrators collaborate with a diverse team to support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems. This position is an onsite role at our Andover location, relocation support is available for the qualified applicant if they meet company policy.Responsibilities to Anticipate:
You will provide System Administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment.
The selected individual should have a comfortable understanding or knowledge Windows fundamentals to include bash scripting, patching, and security hardening.
You should be willing to work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
You will use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements. Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours, may require less than 10% travel to other local MA locations, or other US RMD Sites as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or in lieu of a bachelor’s degree should typically have 6 years of prior relevant experience, or an associate degree and 4 years of prior relevant experience is typically acceptable.
The ability to obtain and maintain a US government issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Experience in Systems Administration of Windows Operating Systems (OS).
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in IT or STEM related field.
Experience with PC and/or Server architectures and troubleshooting methods and be able to assist in developing solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.
Ability to obtain required Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of hire date.
Experience in Linux System Administration.
Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, VDI, and ESX virtual computing methods.
Experience with bash scripting (Perl is also useful).
Experience with security hardening of Linux systems.
Experience with Red Hat Ansible, Satellite.
Experience with NetApp data storage and data backup technologies.
Experience with Splunk, Nessus, Monitoring Tools.
An Active US Secret Security Clearance is strongly preferred.
Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Sec+ CE or equivalent certification and an OS Certification.
