Job Description

Organize and operate the glove box, carrier screw assembly, and viton assembly process steps in the SLx surface treatment department.

· Set up and operate the equipment to process implants through the glove box, carrier screw assembly, and viton assembly operations in strict accordance with documented procedures.

· Primary responsibility is glove box operation. This requires strict attention to detail and procedure to ensure the process quality specifications are met. It is fast paced, physically demanding and requires a high level of manual dexterity.

· Assemble implants into vitons in an ISO 7 class clean room. This step requires manual dexterity and attention to detail to ensure process quality specifications are met.

· Assemble carrier screw in an ISO 7 class clean room environment. Perform quality inspection measurements and pull force testing. Record test data in organized manner.

· Package finished product into primary and secondary packaging in an ISO 7 class clean room environment.

· Perform all required in-process quality checks.

· Complete all processing records and SAP transactions as required.

· Manage processing steps and material work flow to ensure established production and sterilization schedules are met.

· Perform routine preventive maintenance on all production equipment in the surface finishing department as directed.

· Perform daily cleanings of all production equipment, tools, fixtures, glassware, and process rooms as directed.

Other Duties:

As assigned by Line Chief. May be assigned to work in other departments as needed

Qualifications

Previous medical device manufacturing experience and quality system compliance required. Previous experience working with small parts to a high quality standard required.

· The candidate must demonstrate proven microscope inspection skills with acute vision and defect awareness at 20X magnification.

· The candidate must demonstrate excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Demonstrate ability to assemble small parts in a fast paced production environment with minimal error.

Additional Information

· Production environment will include working in highly controlled room, wearing protective gear (gown, mask, gloves), and working at a fast pace for an 8 hour shift.

· Requires manual dexterity and ability to manipulate small objects while wearing gloves
