Position Summary

The Sr. Manager, Clinical Marketing is responsible for execution of the strategic direction of Clinical marketing initiatives and Key Opinion Leader management related to the Straumann brand business franchise and customer segment. The incumbent expands upon and ensures the execution of a clinical marketing strategic plan to support the short- and mid-term growth of the company, in close cross-functional collaboration with all the other departments such as Education, Marketing, Sales and Product Management.

The goal is to ensure strong synergy with the other sales and marketing activities in order to generate a maximum impact of all Straumann product launches and campaigns, driving both customer satisfaction, product sales and brand reputation.

The role reports to the Sr. Director of National Clinical Education.

Job Responsibilities

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Drive revenue growth through the development and execution of the Clinical Marketing strategic plan, with activities in all the Straumann Business segments: implants, prosthetics (including lab), digital and biomaterials, aligned with the Straumann Group’s Must Win Battles.
  • Oversee the strong pool Straumann KOLs from all specialties (OMS, Perio, Pros, Lab), mixing historical KOLs with new reputable ones from the competition who provide meaningful expertise that can be leveraged in a variety of ways to support new and existing initiatives.
  • Propose a strategy to systematically remain connected and engage KOL’s in complementary assignments. Ensure all our franchises are well covered, from our core implant segment to Prosthetic, including Digital solutions, Biomaterials and Practice growth areas.
  • Develop a process for connecting KOL’s with Product Marketing team
  • Drive expert team meetings in collaboration with Product Marketing team
  • Manage KOL development program, including speaker development and other professional development opportunities
  • Manage KOL database and administrative updates and reporting to NAM and global team
  • Expand our KOLs group above with KOOLs (Key On-line Opinion Leaders). Identify the ones who are the most influential, built relationship and evaluate how to engage them to create traction and visibility of our Straumann Group solutions
  • Manage the NAM Women in Implantology (WIN) initiative, cross functionally collaborate with global WIN team
  • Define win-win collaboration and level of investment, negotiate the presentation of all our innovations and focus campaigns, and represent Straumann interest in a professional and effective manner in their annual meetings.
  • Comply with and adhere to industry standards as mandated by various governing bodies.
  • Understand and be able to eloquently speak to and present on Straumann solutions

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or related field

· DDS, DMD or Masters degree preferred

· Minimum 7 years of clinical marketing experience

· Experience in management of key opinion leaders and important partners in Dental or Medical Device industry preferred

· Preferred experience in successfully managing cross functionally

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and follow through on administrative tasks
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal and written
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally
  • Able to travel including on weekends and evenings. Some international travel is also required.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

· General office environment. Course presentations require considerable standing and moving around presentation area. Approximately 30% travel required
