Job Description: Individual works under the direction of the quality manager, performing quality inspections, root cause analyses, implementing corrective actions and leading improvement projects.

l Lead and report on Root Cause and Corrective Action efforts

l Participate in or lead continuous improvement events/projects

l Participate in or lead plant equipment repair, improvement, and maintenance activities

l Create and maintain inspection procedures

l Perform metallographic inspections

l Maintain and provide training on inspection systems and tools

l Establish machine capability envelopes for key production equipment

l Track and report on vendor quality

l Prepare progress or status reports

l Perform materials testing as needed

l Perform dimensional inspections as needed to support quality technicians

Education/Experience:

Scientific degree (BS or AS with demonstrated experience)

Experience with a process improvement framework: FMEA, six sigma, or other

3+ years of experience with dimensional inspection in a manufacturing environment
