- Manage, via team leads, multiple small teams working on critical projects
- Advise these teams on best practices, and architectural choices
- Be involved in the full project life cycle, from estimating and planning through to implementation and ongoing support.
- Be responsible for appraising the performance of the software development teams
- Handle recruitment of new developers for the team
- Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science or Software/Computer Engineering (or foreign degree equivalent)
- 8+ years' development experience.
- 4+ years managing software development teams
- Experience in a Java development environment
- Experience with designing tables using DDL, including understanding how to normalize data models, how indices work, and how views work.
- Experience querying databases using SQL and JDBC.
- Experience with the Spring Boot application framework.
- Knowledge of financial markets data is a plus.
