Actively engaging in the proposal and implementation of new processes and process improvements. Provides inputs to or generates ad-hoc reports and participates in cross-functional teams and projects as required.Location/DivisionLocated in Bedford, MA the BioProduction Group is one of the fastest growing businesses in the company, supporting developers and manufacturers of biological-based therapeutics and vaccines. With our portfolio of best-in-class products that span the bioprocessing workflow from discovery through large-scale commercial production, our business is driving performance in bioprocessing through collaboration with our customers.What will you do?Maintain finished goods inventory at target levels in ensure high service levels, i.e. product availability
Drive OTIF/LIFR excellence, work cross-functionally to expedite with Production, Procurement and other groups. Identify and work to resolve barriers on a collective and individual basis.
Help build the forecast and create work orders in SAP to translate customer demand into a feasible production plan
Ensure the demand and supply plans are balanced, identifying imbalances, creating and cross-functionally vetting proposed interventions, and raising unresolved issues to management for resolution
Effectively communicate the production plan to Operations and all levels of management
Ensure appropriate interventions to resolve past-due, trending past-due, and other at-risk work orders.
Prioritize and perform assignments independently to satisfy required timelines, providing periodic updates and feedback to collaborators and managers.
Provide Planning support in support of business growth. Organize and manage weekly Work Center Verification meetings. Manage finished good work orders demand
Generate and manage SIOP for three separate value streams
Other responsibilities as required.
How will you get here?EducationA degree in Business, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related subject area preferred.
Bachelor’s degree desired, high school diploma/GED is minimum educational requirement
ExperienceMinimum three years planning and scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment using MRP/ERP tools
Understanding of capacity planning, identifying and managing production constraints
Familiarity with inventory control, planning and scheduling policies and procedures
Understanding of continuous improvement concepts
Ability to navigate across multiple systems to improve current state operations
Highly proficient in developing & improving Excel based tools as well as managing and analyzing to provide data driven decisions
A degree in Business, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related subject area
Additional Preferred QualificationsCertified in production and inventory management or supply chain management; APICS CPIM, CSCP, or ISM CPSM
