Project Description:The Testing Lead will be responsible for establishing and managing a centralized testing organization supporting a major program. The person in this role will be responsible for the strategic direction and decisions related to testing within this program. In addition, you will own all testing activities and deliverables for required testing for projects.

The scope of activities associated with this includes people management, demand management, resource planning and allocation, assist with environment requirements, automation, test execution, etc.

This role will require an individual who has proven expertise in the methodologies Agile and waterfall development and implementing best practices in delivering high-quality products that meet company/industry standards, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:• Create and manage the integrated testing function, including developing the strategy for supporting a large business/technical program.• Implement a consistent testing methodology and approach across the organization (includes creation of test plan, testing templates, creating/updating processes and procedures, providing input to demand management, develop entry and exit criteria, and developing appropriate testing metrics).• Creation of testing strategy that aligns with implementation strategy for overall program inclusive of all stand-alone testing cycles, integrated testing, and user acceptance testing cycles.• Manage day-to-day operations of Testing team (includes managing meetings, overall timelines, understanding project/testing dependencies, leading testing resources, and verification of environment stability). Provide additional automation experience, and support for testing tool. Maintain high levels of quality of the testing support required.• Participate and present in stakeholder and management calls to provide status updates• Manage vendor participation in testing activities.• Need to identify the scope of the testing required for a particular area and integrated eco system• Must identify the testing effort required for a given test cycle• Figure out what skills are required to complete testing and balance the test resources accordingly with those needs based on their own interests as well. Identify if there are any skill gaps and plan for training & education sessions for the identified test resources.• Identify the tools for Test Reporting, Test Management, Test Automation, etc. and educate the team on how to use those tools.• Initiate the Test Planning activities for Test case design and encourage the team to hold review meetings and ensure that the review comments are incorporated.• During the Testing Cycle, monitor the test progress by constantly assessing the work assigned to each of the resources and re-balance or re-allocate them as required.• Check if there might be any delays in achieving the schedule and hold discussions with testers to figure out the issues that they may be facing and strive hard to resolve them.• Prepare any Risk Mitigation plans if in case any delays are foreseen.• Bridge any gaps and differences between the Testing team and the Management in order to form a clean two-way interface channel Mandatory Skills Description:• Knowledge base within derivative trading/trade lifecycle and financial instruments required.• Working knowledge of different product types across derivative asset classes highly desirable.• Capital Markets related experience surrounding Asset Mgmt./derivative implementation needed.• 10+ years of work experience in IT testing.• Strong understanding of Software Delivery Lifecycle; knowledgeable of various software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).• Must have experience working through all phases of software development lifecycle including requirements, architecture, design, development, testing, deploy, and maintenance.• Work experience in project management desired.• Possess hands-on experience with quality management solutions such as HP Quality Center, QMetry, Jira, etc.• Must have strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.• Demonstrate a high level of initiative and be a self-starter, solution seeker.• Must be extremely resourceful and enthusiastic.• Display a capacity to learn quickly and respond well to changes and opportunities.• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.• Possess ability to build strong relationships with business and IT leaders and be able to negotiate with them.• Possess strong ability in dealing with ambiguity.• Authorize to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future. Nice-to-Have Skills:• BA/BS degree in Business Management, Computer Science or Information Systems or an equivalent combination of education or experience.
