The PeopleCloud loyalty product along with the broader PeopleCloud suite of products help bring to life our client's marketing objectives to increase brand engagement, drive personalization, and increase brand loyalty. As Technical Architect, the incumbent will lead the design effort on a variety of projects in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment. Their role is to design innovative solutions to client problems. They will work closely with client and internal teams consisting of product and marketing managers, user interaction designers, quality analysis team members and developers to produce client solutions and new product offerings.

The right candidate will have a proven record of accomplishment in sales support, leading, and delivering compelling digital solutions. Candidates should have strong experience in managing complex application development projects involving database and digital technologies with external clients. Candidates should have led multiple projects as an architect through scope/discovery, estimation, development, implementation, post deployment support with ability to influence solution design for the clients.

What you'll do as a

Loyalty

Director, Technical Architecture:

Pre-Sales & Contracting
  • Support RFP/RFI responses with effort estimation and technical representation using relevant tools and solid assumptions
  • Deliver high level, proposed solution designs
  • Lead client conversation on Epsilon product design and implementation

Design
  • Prepare gap analysis and detailed effort estimation for project planning based on documented business requirements
  • Prepare module level design with specific features detailed out for implementation
  • Define technical solution by understanding various functional and non-functional requirements which inform the technical architecture
  • Research and propose cost effective solutions to address business challenges as needed

Product Implementation
  • Identify and design support for custom client needs (beyond product) and determine their potential as a standard product offering
  • Support triage, create proof of concepts, explore alternate ways of executing the technical requirements (DevOps)
  • Lead discussions related to contracted implementation by liaising with various stakeholders on the project
  • Review significant low-level design documents to ensure consistency of the solution across workstreams.

Knowledge Management
  • Draft/review reusable solutions and contribute to building a standard solution framework
  • Enable consistency of solutions across projects

Product Feedback/Roadmap planning
  • Draft road map recommendations for product development
  • Participate as a mentor to architect product improvements

Manage Cross-Functional Teams
  • People management skills with the ability to provide thought leadership, coach, mentor and counsel as required

Soft Skills
  • Communicates effectively using written and verbal communications skills
  • Process oriented - excellent troubleshooting and people management skills in a client facing role.
  • Able to prioritize multiple activities under pressure while focused on getting results for the client.
  • Able to think creatively and possess strong motivational skills
  • Demonstrates effective negotiation, leadership, and listening skills when working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-starter, and able to work independently and with a strong initiative.
  • Thrives in a highly matrixed environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Technology experience (may include some or all of the following)

.Net, Asp.net MVC, C#, Web API, WCF, SQL Server, JavaScript, Angular 4 or above, VSTS, Microservices, AWS

Qualifications
  • BS in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience preferred
  • 15 + years of experience in designing and implementing technology solutions.
  • 10+ years of experience with .NET or Java software implementation from requirements through design, development, user acceptance, and post deployment is a strong plus
  • Experience in Agile Program management is a strong plus
  • Must have proven experience in leading large system integration efforts through completion
  • Strong client interfacing background required
  • Experience in managing global delivery team required
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strong knowledge of marketing concepts will be a plus
  • Experience integrating with industry standard Marketing Technology, such as Marketing Cloud and/or CRM / CDP systems
  • Loyalty system experience (client or vendor side) highly preferred
