Principal Data Engineer | Boston, MA | $150K - $200K
A top Hedge Fund is looking for an experienced Principal Data Engineer to learn & research new tools in the data space. This team of smart data engineers plays a very big strategic aspect within the firm and will introduce Machine Learning into a highly distributed system.Qualifications/Responsibilities:- Bachelor's (Master's preferred) degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with Python
- Strong data structures & algorithms experience
- Experience designing software architecture
- Solid experience dealing with data at scale
- Experience with cloud data technologies, e.g. AWS (S3, Glue, RDS, Athena, ERM, Redshift), Snowflake, Databricks, etc.)
- Experience with Big Data technologies, e.g. Hadoop, Spark, etc.
- Strong passion for technology, a willingness to learn new skills
- Desire to collaborate with team members and cross-functional teams
