The Eze Eclipse™ solution is a born-in-the-cloud investment solution that supports start-up, emerging equity-, and event-focused hedge funds' full investment process in a single, unified platform through a secure web browser interface As an Associate Director, Engineering you will be fulfilling a player-coach role, contributing to Eclipse Engineering sprint goals while also assigning work, managing, providing technical mentorship, and monitoring the progress of the Eclipse Engineering staff. - Own full employee lifecycle from hire to termination
- Own review process and provide timely feedback and coaching
- Provide thought leadership and decision making on code structure and direction
- Provide technical leadership and/or mentor other engineers within a scrum team
- Responsible for maintaining healthy team dynamics
- Write, test, and maintain code for Eclipse
- Maintain efficiency and stability of the application
- Apply modern coding methods in a multi-threaded programing environment
- Lead complex projects across Eclipse engineering
- Work with Product Management to extract technical requirements from documented market problems
- B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science or related degree
- 10 years of experience or the equivalent skill-level coding in C# or Java
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage 1-2 scrum teams
- Experience providing technical leadership, providing design advice, and mentoring other engineers
- Experience driving technical discussions and facilitating technical decisions
- Experience making significant contributions to overall architecture
- Experience developing high-performance software
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with multi-threaded programming
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with a Devops environment
- Familiarity with design patterns and microservices architecture
- Active interest in new technology and emerging engineering practices
