Casualty Analytics Lead

Job Description

Arium, part of AIR Worldwide, is looking for a highly passionate analytical individual to join the team in Boston. Arium provides new and cutting-edge modelling capabilities of complex commercial liability risks to the global insurance and reinsurance community.You will use your technical and analytical skills and (re)insurance knowledge to support the AIR client managers and help clients understand how to use Arium to deliver real business insights and a range of outputs. You will work closely with client support and business development teams.

• Support the business development team in driving sales of the Arium Casualty Analytics Platform by developing presentations which clearly articulate the Arium value-add to client and prospect organizations
• Use your understanding of P&C insurance to connect the dots between the problems faced by Arium clients and solutions offered by the Arium Casualty Analytics Platform
• Serve as a conduit for client feedback on the product and modeling methodology
• Manage and develop a team of Arium client support staff, enabling successful delivery of client projects and a high quality of client support
• Build strong relationships with Arium clients and prospects
• Peer review technical client work done by Arium staff to ensure quality of client deliverables
• Represent Arium by speaking at industry events/webinars
• Keep on top of industry trends, especially those related to casualty lines of business
• Contribute to Arium strategy, contracts/pricing, any of the emerging risks and model development.
• Help clients use Arium insights to enhance their portfolio management, pricing, reinsurance strategy, and capital modeling decisions. to ensure our clients are extracting the maximum value from the Arium platform
• Actively participate in driving product development and soliciting feedback from stakeholders.
• Communicate directly with clients on relevant technical or product road map development .

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Broad understanding of P&C insurance pricing, underwriting, and risk management developed with minimum of 5 – 7 years of experience within the industry
• Strong knowledge of probability concepts as applied to insurance e.g. frequency/severity probability distributions and associated risk measures
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, a solid understanding of probability concepts, excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to client support
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Working knowledge of R, Excel, and Power Point
• Background in casualty lines of business e.g. General Liability, E&O, D&O is desirable as is actuarial or underwriting experience
• Sales, consulting, and/or technology experience within the P&C (re)insurance domain is also desirable
• Willingness and flexibility to travel across North America and globally, depending on need

Education:

• Applicants should have a minimum of an undergraduate (BSc) degree
