Job Title: Cloud Specialist

Location: Boston MA 02110 (Hybrid Schedule)

Duration: 6 months (Possibility of extension)

Job Description: Information Officer (CIO), the Cloud Specialist is responsible for the Azure cloud environment. Installing, configuring, and supporting Linux and Microsoft servers on IaaS and Disaster Recovery and Incident Response planning in concert with the other Information Technology Services teams. The incumbent must be self-motivated, process-driven, highly customer-focused, and have a strong desire to continuously improve personally and professionally.

Responsibilities: Ensure the day-to-day operations meet internal and customer performance standards Ensure timely resolution of issues, responsible for communicating with all impacted parties the status and resolution of all issues. Collaborate with application development, network/security, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration within the production environment. This includes validation planning, coordination of validation testing, and reporting of production readiness for deployment. Establish standards, tools, and processes to be used within the team and have the processes to guarantee adherence to those standards. Experience moving workloads from on-premise to IaaS (Azure, AWS, etc.) Strong Networking experience, including hybrid cloud experience Ability to design the architectures for integrating core infrastructure technologies in support of enterprise applications Strong Active Directory experience, including Group Policy Administration, Replication and Deployment experience DevOps practices and Agile project management Manage cloud infrastructure from the portal, PowerShell, or using the CLI Utilize automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar. Implementation and support for Networking, Databases, Software, and Servers in the Cloud IT support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications, as well as virtual environments built on Citrix, Microsoft, and VMware Develop, document, and understand internal IT processes and procedures Communicate with customers to keep them informed of incident progress and notify them of impending changes or agreed outages Achieve and maintain professional IT certifications, such as Microsoft MCSA or MCSE, HPE ASE, or Master ASE, VMware VCP, Fortinet NSE Assists with special projects or other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years related experience and/or training 3+ years of active, hands-on experience in cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) Minimum of 2 years of experience actively implementing cloud solutions and using Azure services High proficiency in written and oral communication for the conveyance of cloud solution work products Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, O365, PowerShell, and scripting DevOps and/or Micro-services experience with at least one technology including Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Container Service, etc Cloud vendor certifications are a plus (Azure, AWS, Google, etc.) Solid problem solving and analytical troubleshooting skills Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment Team player with the ability to maintain a positive attitude and develop effective working relationships with others as a contributing member Strong organizational, communication, and customer service, and time management skills Ability to manage expectations of internal and external customers and follow up in a timely manner
