Job Summary:

The Federal Reserve is developing a new interbank 24x7x365 real-time gross settlement (RTGS) service with integrated clearing functionality, called the FedNowSM service. This service will help enable financial institutions provide their customers with the ability to send and receive payments any time, any day, and have full access to those funds within seconds.

This position is a unique opportunity to be part of a new mission-critical Federal Reserve initiative that will be transformative to the payments landscape in the United States. The position will play a critical role in supporting a detailed review and update initiative for all FedNow technology standards and guides to ensure documented steps and requirements reflect current practice.

This will include collaborating with FedNow teams to bring all standards and guides to current state, affirm correct owners for each, and define a repeatable process and roles/responsibilities for ensuring currency ongoing. In addition, the position will define and implement a recurring compliance testing program for the standards and guides defined as most critical from a risk perspective in order to validate adherence and ensure the ongoing quality and health of program execution efforts. Experience with risk and compliance and controls activities is required for this assignment (i.e., either identifying/mapping/executing controls or auditing/evaluating adherence). Additionally, an Enhanced Moderate background clearance is required. If the individual selected for the role does not already have this level of clearance, the process will be initiated prior to the assignment beginning.
