EXPERIMENTAL BIOLOGISTBOSTON, MAThis position will be a full-time laboratory-based role.Position initially in Boston but moving to Cambridge. Required Skills:

  • BS or MS degree in molecular and cell biology or related disciplines such as immunology, cardiometabolic or neurosciences.
  • Previous post-graduate lab experience in academic or industry setting (prefer 2+ years). Preferred: Master +4yrs industry experience or Ph.D. recent graduate.
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture using sterile techniques.
  • Experience with iPSC cells or organoid models is a plus.
  • Experience in Molecular and Cellular biology Techniques.
  • Experience in genetic manipulation including CRISPR and siRNA.
  • Previous experience with design and execution of CRISPR screens, in vitro or in vivo.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform accurate data analysis and carefully maintain a notebook record of lab activities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including preparation of lab reports and presentations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
Project Description: The Client's EDG-HGV group is seeking a passionate and dedicated experimental biologist to join our team and help us advance human genetic targets into the Client's drug discovery pipeline. You will be part of a dynamic and challenging early discovery research environment that is based at our Research Labs in Boston, MA. You will be expected to contribute to the development of in-vitro stable and iPSC-derived organoid models for different human diseases. The successful candidate will be an active participant in the scientific dialogue of the group and will be able to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Support the establishment and characterization of iPSC-derived disease models using cellular, molecular biology and genomic techniques.
  • Assist in genetic manipulation, assay development, and pharmacological manipulation of human iPSC-derived organoid models.
  • Develop novel end-point readouts for in vitro assays with iPSC-derived organoids that reflect pathobiology of human diseases.
  • Design and execute experiments, interpret data, and clearly communicate results and findings clearly and concisely to teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across different areas within GBS, Therapeutic and Functional areas.
