Job Description
The Gelato Maker produces delicious gelato according to Eataly’s authentic Italian recipes. Reports to the Head Pastry Chef.
- Produces gelato according to the daily production schedule
- Follows recipes and production protocols explicitly, carefully weighing and measuring all ingredients as specified to the gram
- Ensures product meets quality standards established by the Head Pastry Chef and Executive Chef
- Maintains a sanitary workstation in compliance with Department of Health standards
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in a back of house production position
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
- Ability to operate commercial pastry equipment
