We have a fully remote need for a JAMF engineer. This is a W/2 consulting role.

Responsibilities:
  • Creation of scripts as needed and proactive maintenance scripts.
  • Troubleshooting through terminal commands.
  • Knowledge in creating. PKG s and or .DMG installers using JAMF Composer or other equal Apple packaging tools
  • In-depth and broad knowledge in engineering and troubleshooting skills with Apple MacOS base operating systems. Proficiency in resolving compatibility problems between new versions of the operating system and/or software applications
  • Can develop new documentation, support processes, and standard operating procedures AND can clearly write them down for others to use
  • Ability to work within a global team across cultures, and communicate effectively with both internal and external clients
  • Work with business partners and vendor support contacts, and resolve day to day deployment environment related issues
  • Develop and support new and existing programs/modules and or scripts related to packaging installations
  • Success in designing and engineering for medium to large implementations of JAMF Pro in a multi-location environment including cloud instance

    • Job Requirements
  • Deep understanding of the macOS/Mac OS X hardware platform
  • Experience in deploying Mac OS X/Mac OS builds in medium and large environments
  • Ability to handle critical and escalated incidents
  • Experience in deploying and managing device security policies is required
  • Prior experience in Microsoft AD integration/Authentication for macOS clients is desirable
  • Implementation of Data Loss Prevention solutions in Mac Environments is required
  • Implementation of endpoint protection solutions in Mac environments is required
  • Install, configure and support hardware and software on macOS devices.
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding in Apple macOS El-Capitan, Sierra, High Sierra, Mojave versions of Mac operating systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with macOS System engineering tasks, techniques(E.g. System hardening and security, kernel profiling and tuning, kernel and package compilation) Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years Apple/MAC OS troubleshooting and support
  • Minimum 2 -3 years of Jamf experience if proven strong with the tool
  • Experience implementing Jamf, setting up new instances, setting it up in the cloud, ensuring Jamf is meeting global policies
  • Experience with scripting in one or more languages (Bash, Perl, Python, AppleScript)
