Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Function as an on-site administrator for PCS and the hospital (on off-shifts, weekends, and holidays and/or in the absence of the CND).
  • Interact with physicians, nursing staff, admitting, and Patient Placement Specialists in the management of patient placement and throughput.
  • Responds to/participates in codes and stat pages.
  • Manage family and patient concerns as appropriate, and notify unit leadership of issues and plan for service recovery.
  • Participate in hospital and nursing committees and meetings.
  • Supervise clinical staff on inpatient units, as well as the ED, PACU, and OR on off-shifts, weekends, and holidays in the absence of the CND.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Current MA Registered Nurse license required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional nursing experience required.
  • Nursing Leadership experience required (i.e., participation in unit based council, process improvement, committees, etc.).
