Organizational Change Management Lead Location: Boston, MA Duration: 9+ Months with possible extension About us: The Office manages the Client's workforce development and labor departments to ensure that workers, employers, and the unemployed have the tools and training needed to succeed in the Massachusetts economy. Responsible for issues related to workforce development, labor relations, worker safety, jobless benefits, and paid family and medical leave, the plays a vital role in the economic health and growth of the Commonwealth.

About the role: The Agency 's Organizational Change Management (OCM) Lead will work closely with the FAST Enterprise' Training and OCM team to review and assess the impact of business process changes, identify impacted areas, create and deliver communications, and execute change management tactics. Ideally, seeks a unique talent to boldly lead a major cutting-edge overhaul of the unemployment services. The Employment Modernization Transformation program is as comprehensive as it sounds; a project that with the dynamic leadership you will provide will absolutely propel Massachusetts to the forefront of citizen based services. In these times of economic uncertainty where meaningful employment is paramount, the OCM Lead we seek must be ready to courageously lead this rare opportunity to succeed on behalf of all citizens of the Commonwealth. This role has been classified as a hybrid work position. Employee is expected to work on-site in our Boston area office part of the week. There will be times where staff will be required to be on site for key events, meetings or other efforts that require physical presence. About the project: The Employment Modernization Transformation (EMT) program goal is to improve customer experience with respect to unemployment application, collection, and overall processing. Massachusetts aims to become a national leader in the unemployment through superior customer experience, accurate benefits delivery, and overall effectiveness. This highly visible, large-scale investment will provide accessible and equitable services for all. It will also enable high-quality, efficient, and accurate service delivery through new technology and innovative program design. What you'll do: • Work with Agency managers and supervisors to execute the change management tactics needed to support the changes • Incorporate change management-related implementation tasks into the project schedule • Work with Business Area Management within the project to develop a plan for updating manuals and handbooks • Deliver communication-related documents to both internal and external stakeholders • Ensure leadership is kept informed of project activities and changes • Attend Definition Meetings to track business process changes • Assist in the creation of communication plans and related documents • Deliver demonstrations on high-impact areas of the system prior to rollout and communicate the needs and reasons for changes • Other change management-related activities What we're looking for: • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Management, Computer Science, IT, Business, Social Sciences or 4 years' worth of equivalent experience • 5-7+ years of experience in large-scale IT project implementation • An entrepreneurial spirit with high enthusiasm to get those involved excited about a new transformational system • A detailed practical and theoretical understanding of change management processes and methodologies • Ability to collaborate with various groups such as the state team, the state's vendors and stakeholders who may bring diverse perspectives and backgrounds to the program. • Willingness to assist in any capacity necessary for successful completion of projects, under tight deadlines and demanding workloads • Self-motivation with the ability to work independently with limited guidance • Patience and an enduring sense of humor • Advanced Windows Skills • All skills applicable to working on a Windows platform • Ability to create engaging infographics using Windows platform • Excellent planning and organizational skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong knowledge of subject matter, business policy and procedures • Ability to create and deliver effective, engaging presentations comfortably to all levels of staff • Ability to learn new applications and concepts quickly
