Principal Data Engineer | Boston, MA | $150K - $200K

A top Hedge Fund is looking for an experienced Principal Data Engineer to learn & research new tools in the data space. This team of smart data engineers plays a very big strategic aspect within the firm and will introduce Machine Learning into a highly distributed system.

Qualifications/Responsibilities:

Bachelor's (Master's preferred) degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience with Python
Strong data structures & algorithms experience
Experience designing software architecture
Solid experience dealing with data at scale
Experience with cloud data technologies, e.g. AWS (S3, Glue, RDS, Athena, ERM, Redshift), Snowflake, Databricks, etc.)
Experience with Big Data technologies, e.g. Hadoop, Spark, etc.
Strong passion for technology, a willingness to learn new skills
Desire to collaborate with team members and cross-functional teams
