Job Description

· Perform sophisticated risk analyses using AIR's cutting-edge technology for (re)insurers, brokers, and Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS) investor funds in the internationally expanding business of catastrophe risk management

· Build deep relationships with reinsurer and ILS investor clients to provide best in-class client support, training, and analytics

· Help clients reliably assess and manage their catastrophe loss potential through interpretation of modeling results

· Develop re-characterizations of risk for the $45 billion catastrophe bond market with AIR’s proprietary catastrophe risk modeling platforms

· Assist clients with underwriting and portfolio analytics for a variety of traditional and alternative reinsurance contracts such as catastrophe bonds, sidecars, industry loss warranties, parametric structures, quota shares, etc.

· Communicate directly with clients to develop project timelines and manage deliverable expectations

· Work with a high-powered team of professionals to understand and enhance our risk-modeling techniques and continually improve client workflows

· Support model and product change management efforts when model updates and/or new features are introduced in our software

· Provide input to our internal teams regarding the evolution of our products based on client feedback and your internal usage of our products

· Support our business development team in sales efforts in a technical and pre-sales support capacity

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·Excellent communication skills, with strong client support orientation

·Proactive problem-solving skills

·Self-starter, ability to work independently to achieve goals

·Data analysis using SQL, R Software, Python, or equivalent a plus

·Ability to manage multiple projects

·Knowledge of statistics

·Actuarial or underwritingindustry experience a plus

Requirements:

·1+ years experience in consulting, insurance or finance fields

·Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, economics, data science, actuarial science or atmospheric sciences
