Senior Data Analytics Contractor

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Leverage real world data assets to conduct queries and analyses to support the entire product portfolio and pipeline disease areas
  • Support the Marketing Science disease area leads to assess knowledge gaps and objectives that may be addressed by data analytics
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive analytics generation plan to address a spectrum of business questions using the appropriate data source & methodology
  • Participate in multiple disease area analytics coordination forums, which provide cross-functional alignment on analytics activities supporting that program
  • Visualize and communicate the output of analyses, including both written and verbal communication, to business leaders and non-technical audiences

Required Education Level
  • Bachelor's (and often graduate) degree in a quantitative, analytical discipline, such as Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Management Science, Data Science, Statistics, Econometrics, or Engineering.

Required Experience
  • Typically requires 10 or more years in bio-pharma analytics and/or market research, consulting or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to manage offshore analytics personnel

Required Knowledge & Skills
  • Domain knowledge in clinical data, real world data (e.g. DRG, TriNetX, IBM MarketScan, IQVIA Pharmetrics, Premier or others), and/or other related data sources such as providers and health systems
  • Expertise with programming languages such as SAS, Python or others, and database languages such as SQL
  • Strong complex quantitative analysis skills; experience analyzing patient-level data within health databases, as well as partnering with advanced analytics professionals, and interpreting results
  • Experience with understanding and leveraging machine learning output
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - able to synthesize and distill complex information into a compelling narrative
  • Ability to work and communicate with non-technical teams to translate business questions to analytically actionable questions
  • Proactive orientation - able to anticipate issues, engage with stakeholders and plan accordingly
