BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBA/BS/MS/PhD in computer science or computer engineering or related discipline
6+ years of development experience within an embedded environment or with some aspect of robotic systems which must include direct, hands-on experience designing, developing, and debugging one of consumer electronics, medical devices, automotive systems, avionics, industrial, or telecommunications product3+ years experience with an RTOS (Embedded Linux and one of VxWorks, QNX, ucOS, MQX, Zephyr, or FreeRTOS) and delivering products in a tightly resource constrained environmentAt least one year of 3-5 person team technical leadership.Has a mature understanding for how product development occurs, including being able to make complex business/risk trade-off recommendations and decisionsIn-depth knowledge of open source Linux-based development tools and architecture, and highly familiar with the C and C languagesExcellent written communication skills, with a focus on clarity and translating technically complex issues into simple, easy to understand concepts PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSHands-on knowledge of developing a product to be certified to the 61508 industrial safety standards or some other similar standards such as medical, automotive, or avionicWorking knowledge of Static Analysis and automated unit test case development tools.Technical knowledge in at least one system of: wireless, networking, or electro-mechanical control systems1 year Industrial IOT experience.Technical knowledge in at least one system of: large-scale remote device management or software update, WiFi and ethernet networking, or electro-mechanical control systemsExperience in generating automated metrics to measure quality and/or product effectiveness and consistencyExcellent leadership, teamwork and collaboration skills with a high level of attention to detailResults-oriented, high energy, and self-motivatedVacancy expired!
