Job Description

· Develop strong relationships with regulatory, rating agency and client contacts, assist them in understanding model assumptions and the usage and interpretation of model results. Draft technical presentations and reports, coordinating across client service, communications and model technical teams as required.

· Perform sophisticated risk analyses using AIR's software tools, in support of consulting projects, client questions or internal assignments. Take initiative in researching information from a variety of sources and checking them for accuracy and completeness.

· Communicate directly with clients to develop project timelines, considering project complexity and resource requirements. Manage deliverable expectations, tailor project scope around true client needs, and add value through customization of output tailored to those needs. Employ project management best practices.

· Lead engagements with clients in support of rate filings, model questions or other interactions with regulators. Coordinate activities across client service, communications and research and modeling teams.

· Support model and product change management efforts when model updates or new features are introduced in our software. Participate on internal and special projects as required.

· Provide input to our internal teams regarding the evolution of our products based on client feedback and your internal usage of our products. Remain engaged with the internal teams through feature design, development, and release.

· Represent AIR in a range of forums including internal and external conferences, industry events and client meetings.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills

· Proactive problem-solving, ability to think critically

· Project and relationship management, negotiation, and persuasion skills

· Strong focus on customer service

· Ability to analyze data, programming experience (SQL, R, others) is preferred

· Experienced in all MS Office applications, ability to learn other technical tools

· Natural curiosity, persistence, and attention to detail.

Requirements:

· BS/BA required. Degrees in economics, finance, engineering, mathematics or computer science are preferred, but candidates with related degrees and quantitative coursework in mathematics, actuarial science, business or computer science will be considered. Advanced degree is a plus.

· Minimum 3 years of insurance or consulting experience in an outward client-facing role. Experience with insurance rate filings or regulatory and/or government affairs is a plus.

· The role will be filled at either a Risk Consultant or Sr. Risk Consultant level, depending on skills and experience.
