You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Participate in all phases of software engineering including requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, and operations
  • Design and implement product features in collaboration with product managers, other engineers and stakeholder
  • Design reusable components, frameworks and libraries
  • Participate in an Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases every 2 weeks
  • Translate product concepts into project commitments that deliver incremental value to our customers frequently and with high quality
  • Build awesome software that changes not just our business but the whole industry

You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in the software engineering profession
  • 2+ years of coding experience with Java or Groovy. Strong knowledge of core Java and OOP concepts
  • 1+ years of experience building Front-end web applications using ReactJS (JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, HTML)
  • 1+ years of experience working with Git source control
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals: unit testing, code reviews, agile and DevOps, Test Automation, Performance Test
  • Experience working with three or more of the following: continuous integration / continuous delivery tools, REST API development using Java Spring Boot/Spring framework, serverless architecture, containerization, public / private cloud, application observability and/or messaging / stream architecture
  • Experience delivering applications using componentized and distributed architectures
  • Strong understanding of formal architecture, design patterns and best practices

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
