Job summary We've launched!Come join Amazon AWS Resilience Hub, team!How often have you had an opportunity to be a founding member of a team solving significant customer problems through innovative technology? AWS Resilience Hub is a new service that provides customers a single place to define, validate, and track the resilience of their applications so that they can avoid unnecessary downtime caused by software, infrastructure, or operational disruptions. We are looking for enthusiastic Software Development Engineers who have experience building state of the art software systems. We offer the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and tools, on innovative and sophisticated features that customers love, as part of a team of passionate and experienced Amazon engineers in the multi-cultural environment. What does a successful Software Development Engineer at AWS look like? You play a key technical leadership role on your team, understanding the business and customer need as well as the technology. You drive design, implementation, and delivery. You provide effective communication of your ideas within and across teams to create the right outcomes for your team and customers. The quality and efficiency of your code, design, and implementation set a great example of best practices for engineers. You actively participate in mentorship of others through code and design reviews, helping improve skills, and teaching best practices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
  • 1+ years of experience in software development

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Passionate about technical leadership and mentoring
  • Curious to learn in depth about both technology and our customers
  • Experience building and operating distributed systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience leading and mentoring junior developers
