Role description - Scope of role Run the DTC production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health. Build software and systems to manage and extend platform infrastructure and applications like New Relic, Firebase and Sentry. Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of player SDKs. Measure and optimize system performance and innovating to continually improve tools and techniques. Provide primary operational support and engineering for D+ player SDKs. Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding. Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures. Participate in platform management, and capacity planning. Create sustainable systems and services through automation and tooling. Balance reliability with well-defined service level objectives. Bachelor's degree in computer science or other highly technical, scientific discipline. Ability to program (structured and OO) with one or more high level languages, such as Python, Java, C/C, Ruby, and JavaScript. A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks. Proven analytical and problem solving skills Skill needed (primary - must have) Exposure to high level programming so they show the ability to troubleshoot and debug (Python, Java, C/C, Ruby, JavaScript) Experience level - 12+ years
