Staff AccountantJob SummaryOur client, a life sciences firm in Quincy, is seeking a Staff Accountant with at least 2-5 years of experience. The candidate will be a self-motivated, detail-oriented team player capable of taking on various aspects of accounting support within the department with increasing responsibility as you continue to grow. Initial areas of responsibility:Review consultant vendor statements and work with vendors to resolve issues promptly
Time Sheet administration
Develop understanding of our accounting software so that you are a resource to staff.
Assist with Monthly Revenue and Cost accruals, working with other staff members for timely and accurate supporting data to facilitate accurate monthly accruals and timely compilation of information at month end close
Full monthly balance sheet reconciliations ensuring accuracy and issue resolution on a timely basis
Company credit card coding to ensure proper documentation for GL coding, enforcing timely submissions and follow ups as needed to meet requirements
Assist Manager and staff in both preparation and review of monthly Labor Billings, including but not limited to verification to GL coding and postings, review of proper backup and expenses and compiling master expense backup with supplemental spreadsheets
Experience:1 plus years of professional experience in a finance/accounting or related job function.
Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, and data analysis skills.
Detail oriented, reliable, professional and positive attitude.
Ability to multitask, adapt with change quickly and follow tasks through to completion.
