Job Description

Annotation specialist intern will work under the supervision of a faculty member on a defined project. Specific tasks and learning objectives will be defined by the internand faculty member.

Qualifications

  • Provide data annotation support within our computer vision team within the Surgical Imaging Laboratory
  • Review picture and video sources via computer to identify specific data elements and mark these elements using software programs in accordance with established procedures and precise instructions
  • Tackle incoming tasks within a short timeframe
  • Provide feedback to the team if data is noisy or instructions are unclear
  • Provide constructive feedback to the team on processes for more efficient labeling and to improve data quality
  • Maintain ownership of each annotation assignment
  • Collaborate with other team members andcontribute to weekly team meetings
  • Collaborate with principal investigator to ensure that annotations meet project requirements with high-quality
  • Proficient with computer applications
  • Excellent and meticulous organizational and technical skills are of the utmost importance as are documentation skills, and interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, under supervision and as a part of a team is required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • H.S. degree, some college preferred
