Job Description
The Surgical Technologist, under the supervision of a registered nurse, works as a member of the surgical team in the Operating Room to deliver patient care throughout the perioperative experience.
Responsibilities:- Follows OR procedures for decontamination of instrumentation, equipment, and room turnover.
- Demonstrates essential knowledge in all procedures and utilizes proper selection of instruments, special supplies and equipment to anticipate the need of the surgical team.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school for Surgical Technologists
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
- 2-3 years of Surgical Tech experience preferred
