You will be responsible for the technical sales and related support activities for High Content Screening instrumentation to specified academic, government or industrial accounts in the Boston/Northeast territory. This role balances prospecting for new opportunities, supporting existing customers, assisting in demonstrating systems, and participation in local scientific shows and events.This sales position will be home based with 25%-50% travel and requires the individual to be located in Boston, Massachusetts or surrounding area, serving the assigned territory: CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, ME, & Eastern Canada.What will you do:Demonstrate selling success in the high content screening field

Display an acute awareness of the life science marketplace, particularly within cellular imaging & analysis, its trends, and our competitors

Drive sales opportunities, including providing information on product capabilities and technical specifications, as well as managing instrument demonstrations

Attend and participate in sales meetings, seminars and trade shows

The instrument portfolio evolves from Cellomics, the first High Content Screening company in the world. Our business unit serves researchers worldwide, accelerating the process of scientific discovery with a strong focus on the areas of applied markets, cellular immunity, neuroscience, and oncology.Keys to Success:Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Biology or related field required, Master's degree or PhD preferred

Strong background in High Content Screening or similar Microscopy Analysis

Hands-on experience in a research laboratory setting preferred, or previous sales experience selling microscopes/instrumentation

Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesStrong verbal and written communication skills

Success in working and driving business growth across business functions

Ability to travel overnight travel up to 25%- 50% of the time

Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Able to lift 50 lbs. independently

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Knowledge of CRM systems like SFDC

Understanding of the sales funnel and how to move sales forward in a changing environment

Can-do demeanor and highly motivated to win sales and take share from competitors
