We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. We are an casual upscale 6 unit restaurant group, we use no microwaves and everything is made to order. We create a product and a culture you will be proud to be a part of. We are looking for a positive and passionate Sous Chef who takes pride in their work.
As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food production, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. We are focused on the quality of life of our team members and work within a 45hr work week.
Duties:
Collaborate with the Culinary team to create and implement menus.
Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and proper food handling procedures
Assist in managing inventory control, including ordering and receiving supplies
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
Support the Head Chef in managing shift schedules and ensuring smooth kitchen operations
Skills:
Proven experience working in a restaurant, preferably as a Senior Lead Line Cook or Sous Chef
Strong knowledge of food production in a freestanding full service restaurant
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
Proficient in inventory control and managing food costs
Thorough understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and interact with customers
