We are looking for someone to work 20-25 hours per week assisting the Metrowest Region Program Coordinator for the "Envision Success Project," a unique after-school and summer program for youth (age 14-22) who are legally blind. Students go on tours of businesses and other places they may consider exploring as a career option, hear from guest speakers and workplace readiness trainers, and participate in internships. The Assistant Program Coordinator will work with the Program Coordinator to set up tours, book trainings and after-tour gatherings (including venues, etc.), organize internships, coordinator student schedules and pick-ups, attend and support students on tours, including picking them up at home or school and transporting them to the events and back home. Approximately 2-4 tours/trainings per month, must be available for late afternoon pickups, sometimes late into the evening by the time everyone is home. Often required to travel to central MA. Ideal candidate has a background in human services or education, has experience with youth and people who have visual impairments, and is flexible, professional, and creative. Clean driving and criminal background as well as reliable vehicle are a must.
