Our parent-governed afterschool program is now interviewing for a Co-coordinator/Asssistant Coordinator for our newly expanded Kindergarten program. Ideally, we are searching for a M-F afterschool teacher, approximately 20-24 hours per week but a job-share can be considered. Our program generally follows Newton Public Schools' calendar. This is a school-year position with the potential for some optional administrative work in the summer. Benefits include paid holidays, leave days, vacation pay, health benefits, professional development, first aid/CPR, and orientation. Orientation commences one week before the first day of school.
Schedule: M, W, TH, F 2:00/2:30-6:00pm, TUES 11:30am-6:00pm (candidate must be available for at least one Tuesday per month for staff meetings which begin at 10am).
Four early release THURSDAYS noon-6:00pm, two early release WED noon-6:00pm.
This candidate will have experience teaching/leading K-5th grade children (current or former child care professionals, elementary teachers, classroom assistants, teachers of visually impaired, crafts persons, special education teachers/aides, behavioral specialists, physical education teachers, coaches, camp instructors, teachers, ELL teachers/assistants, etc.).
