We gather, normalize, and analyze data from disparate sources that, uniquely, span the continuum of careincluding EHRs, Practice Management Systems and claims. Primary Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with business teams, including data scientists/engineers, medical informaticists, researchers, natural language processing specialists, and project managers, to understand their needs for data and analytics
- Analyze data sources and execute on data transformation requirements using appropriate tools
- Work closely with team leadership, team members and LS and Provider stakeholders to build analytics-ready data products
- Implement process improvements and automation for efficiency where appropriate
- Design, build, and deploy reports
- Perform analyses and draw meaningful, accurate conclusions to direct business decisions and create research documentation materials
- Create Tableau dashboards using our data to present insights to senior leadership
- Develop and maintain documentation that chronicles processes
- Assist with leading and mentoring other Data Analysts within the team

Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of hands-on experience using SQL or other SQL-like language
- 3+ years of applying statistical analyses and ability to explain the logic behind the statistical analyses
- 3+ years of experience with a data visualization tool like Tableau
- Experience tying data requirements to business objectives and communicating results to technical, clinical, and/or business audiences
Preferred Qualifications: - Have a solid understanding of set operations and how to use them to troubleshoot data trends
- Experience in conducting and writing up clinical research for publications
- Interest in exploratory data investigations to help define and carve out next steps from open-ended requests
- Experience with healthcare data and/or basic understanding of industry-standard codes (e.g. ICD, CPT/HCPCS, NDC)
- Experience working with clinical and/or claims data or related real-world healthcare data
- Strong verbal and written communication and time management skills; Proven experience with interactive presentations, either in-person or via Webcam
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members in different roles (e.g. data engineering, data science, project management)
- Knowledge of DevOps and Agile Development tools, such as JIRA & Git
- Experience with open-source software languages, such as Python, R
- Experience with handling large volumes of data
