JOB SUMMARY The Cloud Security Analyst will employ first-hand experience with a wide variety of cloud computing infrastructure, enterprise computing infrastructure, zero trust security environments, and security as a service offering in cloud and/or hybrid environments. This role will require the Cloud Security Analyst to design and coordinate the implementation of zero trust security controls, evaluate threats and vulnerabilities, consult in developing automated response capabilities, and communicate the controls to infrastructure and operations teams, system and application development teams, and management.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Evaluate cloud technologies and determine risk of technology architecture, security control implementation, and suitability of operational procedures though interaction with vendors, product developers and service providers.
  • Conduct in-depth technical security reviews, risk assessments, and architecture reviews for Cloud based technologies to ensure alignment with firm information security policies and technical guidelines.
  • Design and support the implementation of security controls, process and policies for cloud, hybrid-cloud, managed service environments, and private cloud information systems.
  • Assess the effectiveness of existing security controls for systems in operation, development, and implementation.
  • Utilize and inform on zero trust and modern authentication methods securing cloud and managed service environments.
  • Assist in identifying new security technologies and best practices for firm hybrid-cloud and managed service ecosystems.
  • Provides guidance and assistance to ensure IT controls are designed to mitigate intended risks and operating effectively. Ensures cybersecurity best practices are followed.
  • Provides technical expertise and support to customers, peers, and leadership in risk assessment and the implementation of appropriate cybersecurity procedures and products.
  • Provide technical guidance in the development and revision of firm information security policies to incorporate cloud technologies.
  • Identify and recommend business process changes resulting in strengthened internal controls.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge and expertise in cloud computing, virtualization, Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS).
  • Skilled in discerning the protection needs (i.e., security controls) of information systems and networks, evaluating the adequacy of security designs, conducting audits or reviews of technical systems.
  • Experience in designing countermeasures to identified security risks and the appropriate application and integration of security controls in cloud-based software and computing environments.
  • Expert knowledge of Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASB), Zero rust Network Access (ZTNA,) and software-defined perimeter technologies.
  • Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools such as Splunk, Rapid7, FireEye.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, and methodologies. In-depth knowledge of diverse and emerging technologies and cloud architectural concepts and principles.
  • Knowledgeable in zero trust security environments, security infrastructure, and security as a service deployment.
  • Experience in performing technical security assessments within cloud environments.
  • Experience with cloud security and working with cloud providers - Azure, Microsoft O365 Platform, and/or IaaS, PaaS, SaaS service providers.
  • Able to demonstrate clear understanding of current cybersecurity threats to zero trust infrastructure and/or IT infrastructures at technical and managerial levels
  • Highly developed negotiation, consensus building & influencing skills, facilitation, and the adaptability to respond to change quickly. Highly developed oral and written communicationskills; strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization.
  • Understanding of Information Security frameworks and best practices (e.g.: ISO 27001/2, NIST, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification, Cloud Security Alliance)
