Job Description: Unarmed Security Officer for Residential Housing Complex.

Position: Unarmed Security Officer.

Location: Residential Housing Complex – Waltham MA.

Employment Type: Part-time availability (Details below).

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $18.25 per hour.

Overview:

EIS, Inc. is seeking resolute and professional Unarmed Security Officers to join our team for assignment to a Private client in Waltham, MA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their residents while providing exceptional customer service. This position requires the officer to have customer service qualities and be certified in CPR and AED (CPR and AED training provided by EIS, Inc.). A professional appearance and demeanor are mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Duties:

1. Patrol Responsibilities:

1. Conduct personnel foot patrols of the interior and exterior of the property.

2. Closing/locking up necessary community spaces at scheduled times (trash rooms, community rooms, etc.)

3. Utilization of existing electronic touring system to ensure that personnel are completing rounds.

4. Detailed shift and incident reports written for and submitted to management after each shift.

5. Identifying, reporting, deterring, and eliminating security and safety problems on the property.

6. Notifying Police, Fire, or EMT services when necessary and assisting them with building/unit needs.

7. Monitoring of security systems – emergency tenant pull cords, CCTV cameras, Key-Trak key system, fire alarms, and fire alarm panels.

8. Monitoring parking lots, issuing parking violations, and authorizing towing when necessary.

9. Responding to calls from the client answering service.

10. Minor maintenance (general assistance to tenants with small apartment issues) – shutting off water, opening and closing windows for tenants, etc.

11. Identifying and assessing emergency maintenance problems and contacting on-call maintenance personnel when needed. Knowledge of locations of all domestic and fire sprinkler water shut-offs to aid maintenance and Fire Department personnel.

12. Assisting client’s contractors on after-hours emergency calls.

13. General assistance for management: delivering memos and correspondence to tenants, etc.

2. Customer Service:

o Provide a warm, professional, and courteous experience for all clients and visitors.

o Assist clients and staff with inquiries and directions in a helpful manner.

o Address and resolve conflicts with a calm and composed demeanor.

3. Shift Coverage:

Staffing:

- Part-Time Guards:

- Part-time uniformed but unarmed security guard positions Saturday through Sunday for the client. (24/7) coverage shifts available.

- Cover additional shifts as needed for personnel on vacation or out due to illness.
