Works with network and DBA staff to ensure that the testing environment, test database, test and test/training accounts are operational and data is refreshed appropriately. Executes testing methodologies to ensure accuracy and integrity of data and information processing. Reviews/recommends QA test tools and software products. Writes and/or reviews software test plans and other technical documentation. Maintains the test plans and test materials for applications and may instruct end-users on these materials. Prioritizes and monitors tasks that are assigned to the QA analyst(s). Manages and administers the problem/issue tracking software.Duties:Supervise QA team of 3 and coaches them in their responsibilities: Test scenario and script development Requirement analysis Test effort estimation Daily status reporting Test case documentation Defect reporting Automated testing documentation design Writing, executing, and monitoring automated testing Conduct resource planning based on testing estimates Prepare Project Testing Methodology to address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, network testing, error or bug retests, usability, etc. Define and control definition of "done for testing Define Entrance and Exit Criteria for test cycles Design Testing Plans and related procedures Identify, report on, and help mitigate project risks and issues related to testing Address impediments to testing Facilitate communication on testing within and beyond project team Manage workflow within QA team and testers Establish, monitor, and report on quality metrics Participate in environment management activities in support of testing Facilitate and oversee defect triaging with and through Quality Assurance (QA), Business Analyst (BA), and Development Teams Create/maintain defect tracking Monitor and track defect resolution efforts Lead the adoption of automated testing Mature testing methodologies, process, procedures, and tools for project and post-project needs Develop with other project staff process and training documentation for relevant testing Participate in project planning to support project strategies and schedule Participate in, and lead as appropriate, meetings Participate in other duties as assignedExperience & Skills:RequiredBroad knowledge of testing approaches for technical and functional testing Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in computer science or related field, or an Associates' Degree with an additional two years experience beyond required years noted below 5+ years professional experience monitoring, managing, and assessing direct reports 5+ years demonstrated experience in testing management Structured software testing methodologies Thorough understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) Developing and executing testing plans Developing and managing defect triaging tools and processes Automated testing software, preferably PeopleSoft Test Framework Defect management and triaging Testing and defect status reporting Resource coordination Manual and automated testing skills Demonstrated experience in testing process improvement and team development Demonstrated experience in collaborating with several teams (both internal and external vendors) Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Human Capital Management and/or Financials business processes Strong written and oral communication skills, including knowledge of MS Office and G-Suite applications. Experience with the following Tools: Test Automation Software Defect Tracking Tools MS Office Suite or G-Suite
