We are looking for a passionate, hands-on Software Architect to help modernize Air Operations applications to leverage the benefits of cloud native designs, principles and technologies.

The selected Architect will work with an Agile team of Air Force leaders, Software Engineers, Architects and domain experts. You will help transform applications, incrementally improving infrastructure and app architecture techniques.

As an architect you will be expected to write code, develop Proof of Concepts and mentor and train engineers in new engineering practices. As a result, you will be expected to possess senior level technical skills.

Required skills: - Must be a US Citizen to qualify for a DoD security clearance - BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or similar - 8+ years of Java software development - Experience with Kubernetes - Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and Test Driven Development (TDD) - Familiar with Extreme Programming - Experience in the development of microservices and RESTful services - Familiar with Twelve-Factor app and Domain Driven Design - Experience building modern Spring applications with Spring Boot - Familiar with other technologies including; Java Script, Type Script, Node, React, Angular, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Dockers, and Swarm

Preferred skills: - Command and Control Systems - DevOps Infrastructures
