We cover all topics and show all sides, all in one place.
We are looking for writers who "have something to say, and who say it with style."
Members of our growing (400+) team write opinion pieces we call THE LATEST THINKING.
All reasonably-stated points of view are welcome. When it comes to politics, we have a nice mix of liberal, moderate and conservative sources and writers.
THE LATEST is a sane alternative to all the toxicity out there. Let's get America talking again.
We are currently a little heavy with white male political writers, so females and people of color are especially encouraged to apply.
But TheLatest.com isn't just about politics.
Every day we discuss news, entertainment, sports, lifestyle - you name it. It's an interesting and eclectic mix.
We are an unfunded startup. We can only offer stock options to writers who can commit to writing one opinion piece (of up to 500 words) per week for a year.
If you can't commit to this schedule, we'd still love to hear from you, but there would be no stock options involved.
We hope to raise money soon and eventually install a revenue-sharing or profit-sharing program for our writers, but we are a long way from that.
So, don't do this for the pay. Do it because you have something to say that others will benefit from.
People who write for us tell us they enjoy being part of this. We are building our own community of thinkers who like to look at things from all angles.
THE LATEST is for the curious and open-minded.
So now we're curious about YOU.
Send us a note, tell us who you are, what you'd like to write about. You don't have to be a professional writer to do this, but you have to be solid in your basic skills - spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.
Most important, you have to have thoughtful opinions that will stimulate thinking on the part of others.
