Job Description

FULLY REMOTE

Support testing of a traditional Web Application (.NET) developed for the Small Business Administration (SBA) Office of Disaster Assistance (ODA) Disaster Credit Management System (DCMS).

Develops software test cases and test execution scenarios. Conducts testing activities for subsets of complex systems and subsystems. Demonstrates a basic grasp of the principles, theories, and concepts of the software development process and has extensive subject matter expertise for the system under development or has a proven ability to gain the subject matter expertise for the system under development. Develops and executes test cases, verification of system capabilities and system enhancements or changes, test script development, requirements decomposition, requirements verification, performance testing, regression testing, high availability testing, end user testing, system and software level integration troubleshooting, test plans, test reports, root-cause analyzes, security certification testing. Performs backend database / data validation and interface operability verification. Develops automated test scripts and performs testing activities using automated testing tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include the analysis of system requirements and supporting documentation
  • Additional activities include the development and execution of Test Scenarios and Test Cases
  • Test data creation, defect identification and reporting, and Test Results documentation for Small Business Administration's DCMS and ELA systems
  • Maintain RTM documentation and provided timely test status to Team Lead
  • Perform backend data validation by executing SQL scripts
  • Perform peer reviews on internal testing documentation. Support platform and patch testing as required
  • Provide testing expertise and technical knowledge to augment existing government staff
  • Participating in team meetings and all relevant communications/activities in order to become familiar with overall program goals
  • Candidate should have good written and verbal communications skills and be comfortable working in a fast paced staff augmentation client setting

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • Years Of Experience: 8 Years
  • Desired Education: Bachelors
  • Demonstrated SW testing experience including System, Integration and Regression testing
  • Development of accurate Test Scenarios and Test Cases
  • Accurate defect identification and succinct and clear reporting including documentation of test results
  • Ability to cooperatively work with client daily on client site.
  • SQL: Data Validation by developing and executing SQL scripts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Software Development Lifecycle understanding
  • Test Automation (ex. HP Unified Functional Test, Selenium, etc.)
