- Directly lead and mentor a team of scientists advancing Immune Platform
- Drive innovation from inception to proof of concept, establishing key criteria and decision points for project progression; identify targets and novel screening strategies to facilitate decision making
- Tightly collaborate with platform team to accomplish program goals
- Identify and lead development of critical in vitro and in vivo assays to interrogate allogeneic immune biology specific to T and NK cells
- Provide strategic input and scientific direction in the development of novel allogeneic cell therapies
- Identify and collaborate with strategic partners from academic, industry, and/or CROs to advance internal goals
- Contribute to building a culture that embraces scientific excellence, integrity, urgency, community and self-improvement.
- Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Immunology, Transplant Immunology, Gene Therapy, Immuno-oncology, Autoimmunity, In-Vivo, or related discipline with at least 8 years experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry is required
- Demonstrated expertise and in-depth knowledge of cell therapy, tolerance, allogeneic immune responses, or transplant rejection is required. Hands-on experience with NK cells is a significant plus.
- Practical experience with gene-editing and/or gene-engineering concepts is preferred, but not required
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills is required; experience with a managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships is expected
- Experience in strategic planning, project leadership, laboratory and budget management is expected
- Proficiency in analysis, presentation, and documentation of scientific data as well as preparation of reports is required
- Experience in hiring, supervising, evaluating, and developing direct reports in a matrix or distributed environment is required
