Job Description

This is a customer facing IT role in which you will collaborate with Global Quality, Manufacturing, Technical Development, R&D, IT, and other key stakeholders to build, maintain, and/or deliver enhancements/projects across Biogen’s global document management platform. Additionally, this person will have a key role on the team that is developing and delivering the long range strategy for the implementation of a new document management platform.

  • The primary responsibility for this position is to provide support for global document management teams at all applicable sites:
  • Build a deep understanding of current and future business needs, directions and priorities of global key system stakeholders and translate this understanding into a Technology Roadmap that will support and empower success for the global document management community.
  • Deliver projects on time/on budget following Biogen SDLC GxP requirements
  • Develop and reach consensus on short and long-term IT project plans and budgets in support of the Technology Roadmap.
  • Coordinate with IT support and solution delivery groups to ensure that planned projects are properly resourced and deadlines are being met within the allocated budget.
  • Clearly communicate with global key system stakeholders/IT and regularly report on status, progress and issues related to planned projects.
  • Maintain broad industry knowledge of applications, solutions, trends and alternatives available to meet business needs of the global documentation management community

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to understand user requirements and translate to functional IT actions
  • Quality Management Systems Application Design, Architecture and Development experience
  • Project delivery within a GxP environment
  • Experience in IT functional design and effort estimates
  • Experience leading systems changes, enhancements, projects, and initiatives
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with compliance/quality management software
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with Document Management System
    • DocCompliance,
    • MyQumas
    • Biovia,
    • Veeva Quality Docs
  • 3+ years working in a GMP validation software environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with outsourced service providers and offshore delivery teams a plus
  • Experience presenting to senior IT and Business colleagues.
