Job Description

Develop, validate, and drive strategic integration across research and medical evidence generation of digital health technologies (DHT) to yield more objective, precise, and ecological measures of disease course in NMD

● Work collaboratively across BDH, Biogen Research and Development Units and Worldwide Medical Research to advance a transformative «digital medicine» strategy to assess and monitor disease activity & progression in NMD using passive and active measurements methods (Biometric Monitoring Technologies).

● Drive strategic integration of digital medicine within Biogen’s R&D and Worldwide Medical strategies.

● Provide scientific and clinical leadership to digital biomarkers team members

Lead efforts to turn rich multidimensional dataset into individualized predictive solutions supporting research and clinical care

As BDH consolidates its external innovation strategy, the leader will collaborate to the exploration of inorganic opportunities to «partner» on solutions for faster go to market or potentially invest / acquire solutions. The scientific diligence of these activities will rely on this leadership role.

Team management and leadership: drive cohesive strategic plan for the digital health sciences unit, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence and partnership across organization. Attract and retain world class talents and drive high employee engagement.

Thought leadership: represent biogen’s digital health organization and its NMD expertise across internal teams at all levels and externally

Qualifications

● MD (Neurologist preferred) or MD PhD

● PhD Scientist

● PharmD, PhD

● Intrinsic passion for advancing human disease understanding and transforming healthcare using digital technologies

● >= 8 years Pharma/Biotech industry experience, alternatively extensive leadership experience in academic/clinical centers of excellence

● Extensive expertise in the field of NMD

● Experience in digital health in neurology is a plus
