About This Role

This position will be part of the Technology team within Biogen Digital Health (BDH), with a mission of pioneering personalized & digital medicine in neuroscience. This position plays an important role in enabling technology in the development and expansion of programs involving large-scale real world data sets comprising EHR, PRO, imaging, genetic and high dimensional, sensor-based data in neurodegenerative diseases, supporting Personalized Health Research, Analytics and Solution (PHRAS) group and the Integrated Neuroscience Data Platform (INDP).

The position will work closely with diverse stakeholders including technology experts, clinicians, and other external and internal partners to define and document the functional and data integration requirements, drawing on experience with integrating real world evidence data to analytics applications and digital solutions.

What You'll do

  • Lead requirement discussions to document, analyze and translate functional and non-functional business requirements into use cases/user stories, business process diagrams and workflows.
  • Own, develop story backlog; work with the business to organize prioritized stories to meet business roadmap
  • Navigate business relationships and act as the mediator between differing goals, objectives, and approaches to identify a common agreeable ground
  • Develop ongoing application support strategy for sustainability and program expansion
  • Work with technical teams to develop technical requirements and solution
  • Provide strong support during implementation, oversee development to ensure the solutions are built and will meet/exceed the needs of the business; assist in system testing
  • Facilitate the UAT process, working with end users to define test scenarios, plans, test scripts, and test data. Work with users and development teams on issues identification and resolution
  • Create documentation in accordance with SDLC procedure; keep documentation current and relevant
  • Perform as a functional lead and/or system owner of specific applications relating to the PHRAS team
  • Collaborate to set up infrastructure capabilities necessary for INDP and PHRAS products, ensure compliance
  • Support technology and business partners to build business case for investment and technology roadmap

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years’ hands-on experience in application developments as an IT Business Analyst (or related position). Familiar with various techniques to elicit, validate, and prioritize user and functional requirements
  • Domain knowledge and experience with health information exchange, real-world data technologies, digital health platforms
  • Direct industry experience working with high-dimensional, sensor-based data from medical devices and wearables preferred
  • Life Sciences experience in validated environments including GxP, GMP, GCP, and GLP preferred
  • Strong technical aptitude and skillset
  • Self-directed, with skills to influence others in a matrix environment

Education:

A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer/Software Engineering or a combination of related degree and / or experience that exceeds the minimum qualifications.
