Job Description
About This Role Biogen’s Global Product Strategy & Commercialization team sits at the intersection of data sciences and commercial investment decision-making. We work collaboratively across the organization to determine the most effective business approach for getting our therapies to the patients who need them.You will drive the commercialization strategy for Biogen’s early portfolio of products across all disease areas, provide commercial input to inform strategic investment decisions in Research and Development pipeline programs and support disease area strategic planning. Reporting to the Head of Pipeline Product Development and Commercialization, you will provide oversight, develop, and deliver commercial input and strategy for early products at important milestones and transitions.
What You’ll Do- Serve as ‘interim’ Product Development and Commercialization (PDC) Leader as assets near proof-of-concept readout and prepare for start of Phase III. Define strategic priorities and resources for the PDC to enable rapid stand-up of the PDC upon a Go-to-Pivotal Decision.
- Oversee delivery of indication prioritization and differentiated product concepts to support transition of lead compounds into clinical development.
- Collaborate with R&D and PDC teams to identify new indication opportunities for existing assets, evaluate commercial viability, and deliver target product profiles to inform program initiation and funding decisions.
- Lead a team to develop and inform positioning of early compounds in the market with a portfolio mindset, support alignment on the market outlook, and deliver forecasting based on early regional and market input.
- Support clinical-stage readouts by leading a team that provides input into go-no-go framework, delivers target and minimum product profile, and characterizes the commercial strategy and value of the product and commercialization requirements.
- Build expertise of the disease areas and clearly articulate growth opportunities, competitive differentiation, and value drivers. Develop and present business case recommendations at the governance committees.

Qualifications
Required Skills- 12+ years of experience in a commercial and/or business function in the biopharma industry including:
- Marketing competence and understanding of go-to market considerations and commercial P&L
- Understanding of market dynamics and access considerations
- Thorough understanding of the biopharma value chain
- Leadership:
- Strong cross-functional leadership, planning and organization, analytics, decision-making and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience in managing, leading, coaching, and developing effective teams.
- Project Management:
- Proven experience in management of several diverse projects including budgets, contracts, ability to prioritize and pivot rapidly based on evolving internal and external landscape.
- Global competence
- Prior consulting experience
- Master’s degree required
