- Experience developing and implementing switched mode and linear power electronics designs.
- Schematic capture and board layout experience.
- Experience integrating and debugging power control systems.
- Ability to perform circuit simulation using Spice or variants.
- System modeling and analysis experience using MATLAB, Simulink, or other comparable tools.
- Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: battery management systems, motor controller design, system-level power distribution design, system/board level grounding/shielding and EMC design techniques.
- Radiation hardened and high reliability electronics design experience.
- Experience with EMI/EMC qualification testing per commercial and military standards (e.g. MIL-STD-461, CRISPR 22, RTCA/DO-160, etc.).
- Experience in design for harsh environments as embodied in common commercial and military standards (e.g. RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD-810, etc.).
- Knowledge of device characteristics relevant to power electronics, such as: MOSFETs, IGBTs, BJTs, JFETs, diodes, various capacitor families, etc.
