Job Description
About This Role As a critical function on the Biogen Global ALS Product Development & Commercialization (PDC) team, the Global ALS Commercial team leads activities focused on market understanding, market development, portfolio and brand strategy, customer engagement, launch readiness, digital solutions, tactical development, forecasting and resourcing across Biogen’s ALS portfolio.Reporting to the Global ALS Commercial Lead, you will support the launch of an investigational therapy for the treatment of SOD1-ALS, collaborating extensively with cross-functional partners and regional/affiliate teams as we continue to drive launch readiness activities ahead of a Phase III data readout that is expected in late 2021.
What You’ll Do- Support the development of defining the commercial strategy and driving commercial customer engagement initiatives and tactical plans for the global launch of the therapy
- Ensure commercial preparedness for global launch in collaboration with other global PDC functions, and establish strong relationships and partnerships across the regions/affiliates
- Strengthen understanding of the global ALS markets to inform product strategies and initiatives, including diagnosis & treatment, genetic and biomarker screening, Key Medical Expert (KME) engagement, advocacy partnership, and competitive landscape understanding
- Manage agency partners on creative, tactical content, and digital initiatives
- Manage financials and budget tracking
Qualifications
Required Skills- B.A./B.Sc. in related field (business, science, technology); M.B.A. or M.Sc highly preferred
- Minimum 5 years (Senior Product Manager) or 7 years (AD) relevant pharmaceutical marketing or commercial product launch experience in specialty pharma, either at affiliate or regional/ global level
- Demonstrated success in biopharma commercial/marketing with experience influencing through the matrix, leading cross-functional and cross-geography teams
- Experience in developing launch plans & executing Healthcare Professional (HCP)/Patient marketing tactics at the affiliate level
- Strong commercial execution capabilities with proven project management, strategic thinking, and market analytics skills
- Management of advertising agencies and other vendor partners
- Affiliate Marketing, Sales, Medical, Advocacy or Market Access experience
- Experience in rare disease launch
- Customer-facing experience
- Phase IIor Phase IIIdevelopment/new product commercialization experience
