About the Role:

Seeking a lab scientist to join the Research group, which aims drive compounds from early discovery to development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design and execution of experiments to support current programs using a variety of analytical techniques. This will include performing ex-vivo processing and analysis of RNA and proteins from animal tissues and blood as well as potentially screening and characterizing lead compounds in established assays.

Job Requirements:

  • Must understand experimental design, underlying scientific principles, and the ability to analyze and assess results.
  • Candidate be knowledgeable in MS PowerPoint and Excel and experience with GraphPad Prism is a plus.
  • Have some experience with biochemical methods including tissue homogenization, RNA and protein isolation, qPCR, ELISA/MSD.

Additional Job Requirements

  • Have some experience with biochemical methods including tissue homogenization, RNA and protein isolation, qPCR, ELISA/MSD.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree and typically requires 5-7 years of related experience.
  • Have some experience in handling 96- and 384-well format assays
  • Have some experience in basic mammalian cell culturing.
  • Have some understanding of basic mechanisms of protein aggregation in neurodegeneration is a plus.
  • Previous experience in an industrial research setting is desired, but not essential.
