About This Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development of parenteral oligonucleotide formulations and drug product manufacturing (DP) processes supporting Biogen’s growing pipeline. You must bemotivated and innovative with exceptional analytical and communication skills.

What You'll Do

  • Design and execution of laboratory experiments supporting process development and new technology evaluations
  • Development and on-site support of cGMP drug product manufacturing processes
  • Writing protocols, performing data analysis and authoring reports
  • Coordinating pre-clinical test article supply with Research scientists.
  • Leading and supporting cross-functional teams for the end-to-end continuous improvement of Biogen’s oligonucleotide manufacturing platforms
  • Authoring common technical documentation for regulatory submissions

Who You Are

We are seeking someone that is generally familiar with pharmaceutical development. Ideal candidates will have experience with sterile drug product development. Knowledge of statistical software, design or experiment programming and general visualization of sophisticated data sets is a plus. You will be working effectively in a highly matrixed team environment to advance programs inspire change, improve efficiency, and foster positive relationships.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Sr. Associate Scientist:

  • B.S. (4+ years) in Biotechnology, Material Science, Engineering, Chemistry or related subject area
  • M.S. (2+ years) in Biotechnology, Material Science, Engineering, Chemistry or related subject area
  • Experience with sterile drug product development (Small Molecules or Proteins)
  • Generally familiar with pharmaceutical development

Scientist I:

  • B.S.(6+ years) in Biotechnology, Material Science, Engineering,Chemistry or related subject area
  • M.S.(4+ years) in Biotechnology, Material Science, Engineering, Chemistry or related subject area
  • Experience with sterile drug product development(Small Molecules or Proteins)
  • Generally familiar with pharmaceutical development
  • Acting as technical representative in a cross functional team to support oligonucleotide drug product formulation development/characterizations, fill/finish process development/characterizations, technology transfer
  • Supporting preclinical and clinical program development, supply formulated toxicitymaterials and conduct stability studies

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of statistical software, design or experiment programming and general visualization of sophisticated data sets
